Changing text colour on Wui Wei Theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    Dear all,

    I have sucessfully managed to change the text colour of the title and a few other components (woo!)

    However, as you can see on my page, many of the links are in orange – is there a way to change these all at once?. I have been trying to change them individually by using firebug to identify each element but I am struggling a bit! I would like them all to be this colour: #9900cc so that they match the title.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks,

    Rose

    First, your username is linked to an old, deleted site. If you want to update that, go to Users → Personal Settings and update the Website field near the bottom of the page.

    To find what to change, I looked at Wu Wei’s original stylesheet and found all of the places it uses #ff8a00 as the color. Then I copied all of the selectors for those and combined them into a list to get this:

    h1 a:link, h1 a:visited,
    a:link, a:visited,
    .blog-name a:hover,
    h1 a:hover,
    .archive-byline a:hover,
    .comment-bubble a:hover,
    #footer a:hover {
      color: #9900CC;
    }

    .menu-main a:hover,
    .menu-main li:hover > a {
      border-color: #9900CC;
    }

    You can adjust the list to turn the color change on or off for certain things as you see fit. For example, I wasn’t sure if you wanted the site title hover (.blog-name a:hover) to be the color you mentioned, or the post titles and post title hovers (h1 a:link, h1 a:visited).

    Ooh, hadn’t thought of doing it that way – good idea! Will change my username also.

    Many thanks,
