Changing the Admin Email

    Running into issues updating the admin email associated with my account. Getting a message that says ‘This address is used for admin purposes. If you change this, we will send you an email at your new address to confirm it. The new address will not become active until confirmed.’ and ‘There is a pending change of the admin email to [new email address]’. Despite this, have not received any emails at the new email address. Have checked the spam folder and have re-inputted the new email several times. What can I do to fix this problem?

    Hi there,

    It sounds like you’re referring to a stand-alone WordPress site at another hosting provider – we don’t use site admin emails on WordPress.com, as the email address is set at the account level at https://wordpress.com/me/account, and not on specific sites.

    In that case, please ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead. They provide support for the version of WordPress you’re using:
