Changing the appearance of single posts and feeds

  I am interested in creating a custom layout for my post feed and single posts, and I am rather inexperienced when it comes to CSS. Here (http://thecrisisfilm.com/wordpress/blog/) is what my post feed looks like (as you can see I attempted to change the layout of the feed by changing my actual post to left align the image, but it looks the same on my single, which is what I don’t want). I would like my feed and single posts to look similar to what is found on this (http://www.nicekicks.com). I have created a single.php file to begin, but I have no idea how to to code it to rearrange the different elements of the layout (date, title, image, content) etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  Can anyone help me out? I would really like to know how to style my feed page so I can have images left aligned with everything else to the right, while keeping my single design seperate.

  I understand the difference, but I’m not getting any help at those forums either. I figured I’d post on both since the forums here have a CSS customization section. Regardless of whether or not I’m hosting it myself the question is still relevant, can anyone help?

  Not necessarily. The themes we can use here on wp.com have been modified to be used on our multi-user platform.

  I have created a single.php file

  Also note that we here have no access to php files.
