Changing the blog address of a domain

    Hi. I have registered a domain (vabs.blog) which is linked to vabsverma.wordpress.com. I want to change it to another account on wordpress- vabseverydays.wordpress.com.

    Currently, vabsverma.wordpress.com opens when i visit vabs.blog. I want the address to be change to vabseverydays.wordpress.com. Is it possible?

    Hi there,

    I see you have both vabsverma.wordpress.com and vabseverydays.wordpress.com listed as active under your account. To be sure I understand, is it the case that you upgraded the wrong site?

    If so I can move your domain upgrade from vabsverma.wordpress.com to vabseverydays.wordpress.com but I wanted to be sure I understand. Thanks for confirming.

    Yes, I own both of them.

    I upgraded vabsverma.wordpress.com instead of vabseverydays.wordpress.com. I have shifted vabsverma.wordpress.com to user- (email visible only to moderators and staff)- which happens to be linked to vabseverydays.wordpress.com.

    But still vabs.blog redirects to vabsverma.wordpress.com

    I want vabs.blog to redirect to vabseverydays.wordpress.com. Looking forward for your reply.

    As you can see, I am having difficulties with managing 2 blogs registered with 2 different emails. My first comment was with a different email ID and the succeeding ones with different email ID. They are as follows:-

    vabsverma.wordpress.com – (email visible only to moderators and staff) (vabs.blog was purchased using ths=is account)

    vabseverydays.wordpress.com – (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    I request, if possible, to these 2 blogs shifted under (email visible only to moderators and staff) and vabs.blog to redirect to vabseverydays.wordpress.com.

    Okay, as the vabs.blog domain now belongs to your other account, vaibhavvrm, log back into that account first. Then go to Upgrades ->Domains in the dashboard, and click on the domain. Click the Transfer Domain option, and then you should see the option to transfer the domain to a different site in the same account.

    So you want both sites under the vaibhavvrm username.

    You have already made that account an admin on vabsverma.wordpress.com, so if you log in as vaibhavvrm, you’ll be able to manage both sites from that account.

    However, if you want that account to completely own vabsverma.wordpress.com as well, then you can transfer ownership. While logged in as the vabsverma user, follow these steps to transfer ownership to the other account:

    Let me know if any of this is unclear, or if you run into trouble with any of the steps.

    Lastly, it sounds like you understand the domain will just redirect to the free WordPress.com address, but I just want to mention that you can have your site actually appear at the vabs.blog domain by upgrading to any of our paid plans. But that’s entirely up to you.
