Changing the Blog Mapped to an Owned Domain

  • Unknown's avatar

I wanted to move the mapping of my domain housesittingsitter.com to housesittingsitter.wordpress.com from another of my WP blogs.
All circuits were go with the previous blog…nameservers, WordPress mapping option, the domain and even Google Apps were in proven agreement.

I exported the previous blog and deleted it.

When I attempted to add the url to link to the new blog, a prompt that said the url was already mapped to an existing blog.

Have logged out and in, etc. Can’t find the domain anywhere within or from WP. When I try to reach the domain from a browser it brings me to a “the authors have deleted this blog…content is no longer available”.

Anyone know of a way to kill the mapping link to the deleted blog?

    Thanks,
    Larry

You have to contact staff and see if they will move the mapping over to the other blog. Mapping is “per blog” so that means the mapping upgrade is tied to the blog that you deleted.
