changing the blog’s domain

    please any body i really need to change the domain name of my blog

    for example

    carz.wordpress.com

    to

    cars.woedpress.com

    so how can i perform that?

    If you want to change the blog name, this requires you creating the second blog name on the main page of http://wordpress.com and ‘create new blog’ and following the steps. You have to be logged in to do it so that it gets associated with your username.

    Once you have the blog, go to the admin of your first blog and then to MANAGE => Export and follow the directions to get an export file created for all your posts. Copy it to your computer.

    Then, move to the admin of the new blog that you created and go to MANAGE => Import and follow the steps of importing with the file that you exported from your first blog. That will get the content of your first blog carz to cars.

    Does this mean that if I deleted the old account first (I didn’t care about preserving the posts), there is no way to change the domain?

    I had

    jagobangali.worpress.com

    and wanted to change to

    shobak.wordpress.com

    So I deleted the jagobangali blog and then logged back in as username “jagobangalI” but now I get a super-abbreviated menu where there is not option to start a blog.
