Changing the blog's featured image
-
Hi all,
I was wondering if there is any way to change the blog’s site featured image, in this theme the blog’s intro image and intro message is the same as the home page, I was wondering if that could be changed? Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
With the Affinity theme activated, you may set featured images on static pages and posts. The Affinity theme guide says:
Affinity supports prominent Featured Images on the blog, and single posts and pages.
Contrary to what the theme guide says, in tests, I found that featured images set on a page assigned as the blog page do not display. If no featured image is set on a static page, a post, then the site header or one of a set of randomized site headers will display instead, if a site header or randomized site headers are set.
So your homepage (a static page) is displaying the site header because no featured image is set on that page. You may set one as described in the Setting Featured Image section of the Featured Images support page.
Because the what the theme guide says about featured images on the blog is contradicted by my tests, in which I found no way to display a featured image on the blog page, I will call for staff attention to the topic.

Ah, to clarify, featured images can show up in a few places:
– as the big header image for a single post or any single page (including the front page)
– as a fancy-looking image above each post on the blog
The posts page itself (and the archive pages I assume) will use the site header image.
So yeah, you can change the blog image by setting the site header. You can make it different from other pages by setting featured images for those other pages.
I hope that helps :)

Thanks! I’m going to blame Christmas hangover for missing that. : )

Hi, I am having the same issue, no image shows and there is no feature image area.
Additionally, I cant select the color format. Every format I click on is a the same blue or light blue theme. No green or other colors. -
@farmountainblog you don’t seem to be using the Affinity theme.
Since @elpoderinfinito’s issue is resolved now, we’ll close this thread, but if you can start a new thread and add the “modlook” tag (without quotes) we’ll take a look.
