Changing the blue text in Twenty Ten.

  I’m wondering if I can change the colour of the text on the Twenty Ten theme. I mean the ‘Recent Posts’ text and other blue default text. If so, does it have to be done by CSS or is there a simple way I can do it.

  Thank you, hnsaifi but it seems a teeny bit too complicated for me. So I think I’ll live with the blue text at least for now.

  If you want to change the color of link text you can change it from
  Appearance > Theme options > Link Color > Select the color of your choice > Save changes.
  If you wanna change the color of text in the post, page or widget you can change it without CSS very easily. Say to green.
  <span style="color:#176237;">XYZ text
</span>. By
  New post (visual editor) > Select color (from forth icon “A”) > Type the text > Go to HTML editor > Copy the Code > Paste it to the text widget.

  Well I did appearance > Theme options> but the only options are for paid upgrade. No other choices.

  I can see Link Color Option in 2011 theme. Your theme may not support it.

  In order to change the link color on widgets in your sidebar, it is necessary to purchase the Custom Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) upgrade. Without that, you cannot change the colors the theme designer used.

  You can change link colors on individual posts—that is not theme dependent.

  Thank you 1tess. Could you tell me, does one need a thorough knowledge of CSS in order to upgrade. I have been mulling it over but I don’t want to waste my money.

  There is not a lot of CSS support here. But you can experiment with using it for free:

You can write or paste your own CSS styles into the textbox provided, and use the Preview button to see how it will look with your current theme. The CSS changes you try with the Preview function will only be visible to you, so you can test and edit to your heart’s content.

  We highly recommend using the Preview function to try your stylesheet changes and CSS techniques before deciding whether or not to upgrade.
