  How can i change the blue thing so i can upload my own banner/picture?

  The theme you have choosen is one of only two (I believe) offered that allows some modification of the banner.

  Go into your dashboard > “Presentation” and your will see an option to change the color to a solid one or a graduated color scheme.

  Well that kinda s*cks, but the overall wordpress is pretty cool
