Changing the color of a sticky post

How do you change the color of a sticky post?
I want a brief description at the top of all my posts but it shows up yellow which does not match the look and design of my blog.
I am an interior decorator, color mattersThanks in advance!

Hello again,
What I posted does not require a CSS upgrade.

@timethief
I’m still looking to see where I can change the code.
I see the code and can identify the “yellow” that is there and I have the number for the new color.
Any hints as to how to change it?
I am heading to the tutorial to see if that helps. -
Ig you were expecting to be able to insert this code into the temeplate and have the software change the color behind the text automatically that cannot be done.
Each time you create a sticky poft you will have to insert the code into the sticky post at the very beginning of the post and then type the text for the post and then close the div tag for the code </div> .

You can’t change that without the CSS upgrade. The code shown in my post on background color will create a bg to the main text only, while the yellow in Coraline encloses the blog title and metadata as well.
You can put the info into a text widget instead (placed at the top of your sidebar).
Or you can switch to a theme with a differently styled sticky, or to a theme with a front page notice – see here for both:
