changing the color of my main menu and widget area

I don’t see any way to control that from within the CSS. The scroll down to the contact us section is handled by javascript in the theme files and not something that we can edit.

Hello again ,
I have an idea that may solve that chunk of the page that appears from the previous one ( the above mentioned matter) not sure if that works but I think it carries some logic so just want to give it a shot please :As I mentioned the space I referred to , does not appear when I am signed in as an admin , I observed the differences between a regular visitor and an admin , and I have noticed that when I am signed in as admin ; there is a gray bar above the main menu bar , this bar has an arrow in the middle of it and it allows me to go back to the main page when I click on it , worth mentioning that it only appears when I am on any of the panels except the home page of course
This bar does not appear if I visit my site as a regular visitor , and it actually occupies the same space that I tried to remove its appearance between the panels , accordingly I think that if I manage to add this bar for regular visitors then the issue will be resolved, would it be possible to make this bar fixed ( for all visitors ) is there is any code for that ?
Sorry if that was long, wanted to give it a last chance
Many thanks in advance -
The grey bar at the top when you are logged in, that has the little “back to top” arrow is the WordPress admin bar, so there is no way to show that to non-logged-in users. Add this to your custom CSS, at the very bottom and see what you think when logged out.
.pique-panel-content:not(.logged-in) { padding-top: 0 !important; } -
No wait, after I scrolled back up, the top of the site is messed up. Let me work on this some more.

This issue does not happen on the Pique demo site between logged in and logged out, so I’m having to go through your custom CSS to see if there is something in there that is causing this.

I’ve been able to replicate this on my test site with no custom CSS at all, so I’ve pinged one of our developers about this to see if they can figure out why it is happening and a possible solution.
-
@makeyourbusinesshappen, I’ve filed a bug report on this and they are working on an update to Pique to take care of this issue. When the fix is deployed, I’ll let you know.

I truly appreciate your attention regarding this subject ,
I am thinking that maybe the theme looks slightly different when logged in as an admin as a result of the Word Press bar , I read your comments above and I have no doubt that your technical discretion / observation is more accurate than than mine , and you must have noticed something that requiers adjustments
I could send a screen shot to show the difference (between, amid and regular visitor ) to insure the accurecy of my discription in the above mentioned matter , of course if you find that necessary
I understood that you replicated my site on another , so what i just suggested might be irrelevent , yet I am just trying to help making it easier
I thank you again for your great support

No worries, and thanks for the gracious offers. The developer has found what is causing the issue and is working on a fix. It is a bit complex and he is carefully working through things and testing to make sure this fix does not cause any other issues.

Hi there, the issue with the admin bar gap has now been fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello there ,
I am thinking to add a container to the text of my webpage http://www.makeyourbusinesshappen.com the idea is identify the text further and make it easier to read ,I have searched some websites and I found an example that I am listing below to make it easier to understand,
The ideal is to fit the text of the page in to a container , yet without the header or the title of the page , for example if you visit my site and click on about us , you will find the title (about us ) in white boarders , if possible i would like to exclude the title and fit the text of the page in the container starting the word mission
I am planning to do so for all pages except home page and the last one (contact us )
is there is an CSS code that allows me to perform this task , what I liked the below listed webpage is that the container is somehow transparent that allow visitors to read the text clearly yet the background image still shows clearly too
I am trying to have a similar container or close if possible
here is the example i refer to :
http://www.jett.com.jo/SubDefault.aspx?PageId=186&MenuId=21
Thanking in advance for your great support

and it would be great if i can leave the text/font as is including colors as it is mainly white but sometimes in blue
thank you so much
Regards,

Hi, we can do that. Add the following and see what you think and let me know. I’ve added 20px of padding on left and right of the entry content and then widened the entry content div by the same amount so that the actual content remains the same width. I’ve also set the list style to “inside” in the second rule for unordered lists since the bullets were sitting right on the left border of the background area.
.pique-panel-content .entry-content { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); box-sizing: border-box; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px; max-width: 740px; } .entry-content ul { list-style: inside; } -
Thank you so much , it is perfect . I also noticed that I can play with intensity of the color by changing number 5 ,
Just one important thing please : I would like to apply this container at all pages except my (home page) and my the last page (contact us ) as I prefer to keep them as is , is it possible to exclude those two??
I am also going to apply the code on my sub domain (spanish page ) , es.makeyourbusinesshappen.com
Much appreciated

Hmmm, I tried some advanced CSS3 to exclude those two pages and was not able to get it to work, but never fear, we can do it the old fashion way using the unique post ids. Instead of the above, use the following.
#post-1 .pique-panel-content .entry-content, #post-22 .pique-panel-content .entry-content, #post-28 .pique-panel-content .entry-content, #post-186 .pique-panel-content .entry-content, #post-25 .pique-panel-content .entry-content { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); box-sizing: border-box; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px; max-width: 740px } .entry-content ul { list-style: inside; }Note that each post has a post id, and that they are almost always different from site to site, so if you want to apply this to your other site, you will need to use the web inspector in your browser to find the post ids for the other site and then edit the CSS selectors.
