Changing the color of the page background without altering the theme and picture
-
I have my blog pretty well set, but I’d like to change the background color. My theme and picture are across the top of the page. My posts appear below in a stark white space, which I’d like to soften. How do I do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Marion
Try adding this custom CSS.
.site-main { background-color: #C7A3AD; }Select Appearance > Customize > CSS from your Admin Dashboard and enter the custom CSS there.
You need to be on the WordPress.com Premium Plan for custom CSS to save. You can only preview custom CSS on the free plan.

I guess I need a little more. In the CSS edit there is a numbered list.
I tried typing in the above message on the number 6 line. Nothing happened. -
OK, it changed the color, so I’m on the right track. I just don’t like the color it changed to. So, is there a way to get to a color palette?
