Changing the colour of comments
-
Hi guys. I installed a new theme, and it changed the colour of my text. So far, so manageable, and I’ve gone through the site page by page to fix it. The problem is: my comments are displaying in white text on a white background. How can I fix this? I can’t seem to edit the colour of a comment. Thanks!

BTW this isn’t actually for the site linked in the comment. It’s for a WordPress.org site: http://www.ljmcmenemy.com
Thanks!

Hello @laurenmcmenemy,
With understanding I have, I can suggest the following changes.
Reference doc to edit style CSS is https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/main-stylesheet-style-css/
You need to do changes in style.css, add following CSS rule at the bottom of your current theme style.css file.
.comment-text { color: black; }In order for WordPress to recognize the set of theme template files as a valid theme, the style.css file needs to be located in the root directory of your theme, not a subdirectory.
BTW this isn’t actually for the site linked in the comment. It’s for a WordPress.org site: http://www.ljmcmenemy.com
This support forum assists users of the WordPress.com platform.

Please find out more information on the differences here:
I hope this helps,
Thanks,

Thanks Pranali.
I think I’ve figured it out on my own, but will try this out if my fix fails.
