Changing the display color of a link

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I can no longer change the color of a link in my blog. I post a page specifically with chapter links listed and I liked to have them alternate a color for visual appeal.

Is there a setting that was changed or is this a technical problem within WP? I’ve reached out to other bloggers and they have noticed that just over a month ago they could no longer change the display color of a ‘link’ either.

Any help is appreciated as I would like to keep my pages looking snazzy for my readers.

On this page you can see where the ability to change the text color of the link stopped working.

    Thanks.

    Hi there cimmeriansentiment,

Maybe you could give me a little more info so I can better answer your question. On my end it appears that the links in the example you gave alternate in color nicely at first, but then after a certain line they all become red. Are you just trying to edit the red links?

Yes, the ‘red’ links are the ones I’m trying to change. Up until about a month or more ago I could highlight the link and change the color like you would change the text. Now they just stay the standard color “Red” that is dictated by the ‘theme’.

I’ve tried multiple times and even went into the HTML and cut an past previous color changed links and they lose the ‘color’ and display red. I also cant copy and paste regular text with color it goes back to standard, I can however change the color of regular text just not the links within the text.

    Thank you :)

I have the same problem. I don’t like the default gray color of links in my theme (motif), so I used to be able to just manually change the display color, but now I can’t.
