Changing the domain

  Hi, i am quite new to this and i am quite unsure on how i can change the domain of my site ( from e.g. http://www.abc.wordpress.com to http://www.abc.com). (I already have the hosting for the new domain.) I read that i would have to export my files,or use a duplicator plungin, or download the theme and install the theme again on the cPanel, there is also an option of $99 annual cost to redirect to my custom domain. Can i understand how does the changing of domains work? Thank you very much!

  Welcome to WordPress.com and congratulations on starting a new site. You can map a domain you’ve already registered elsewhere with our Premium upgrade.

  Head over to our Plans page and sign up for Premium:

  https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Then you can map the domain from the WordPress.com Dashboard Domains page:

  https://wordpress.com/domains/
