Changing the domain mapping to a different wordpress.com site

  I just recently purchased a domain through wordpress.com and thought it was going to create a new blog. Instead now the blog address redirects to the .com I just purchased.

  How can I point this newly acquired domain to a different wordpress blog and reclaim my old blog name to be a standalone site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Does anyone know if it’s possible to disassociate a domain with a blog url?
