Changing the domain name and transferring site

    i want to upgrade from free to paid service with the change in domain name. once i pay the money, will wordpress automatically take care of my website transfer and site redirection message or do i have to manually make (or transfer) website? i am a technical novice and am afraid that i will make mess of all the links. thank you
