changing the domian name

  Hello,
  I registered my domiain approx a year agaon and habe really used it and dont get alot of trafffic, but i want to but a comep;ete change of topic and wold like to change the domian name. Can i do that or do i need to complete ly shut thos down and apply for another?

  If you want to change the domain name, but keep the same site, you can just add the new domain in the same blog under Store -> Domains, then choose your new domain as the primary domain.

  (All visitors to your previous domain name will see your new domain instead, and your post and pages will reflect your new domain.)

  However, if you’re going to write posts with a different topic, I’d definitely suggest creating a new blog—from the My Blogs tab on the WordPress.com home page—and adding a domain to your new blog.

  Then, if you want to redirect traffic from your previous domain, you can purchase the Site Redirect from the other blog dashboard, pointing to your new domain.
