Changing the font color of main header title
-
Is there a way to change the main header title of my post/webpage? I don’t like just a white font. If there is, I haven’t found it yet and I’ve looked just about everywhere. I might also mention that I’m on the WordPress starter plan. Thank you for any insight. -Ella

Is there a way to delete the question above? There seems to be no one who can answer my question. Thank you. -Ella

Hi Ella,
With your current theme, you can find the colour customization options at Appearance ->Customize ->Colors & Backgrounds:
https://wordpress.com/en/support/custom-colors/
But there isn’t an option specifically for the site title – the color of the site titles is set dynamically based on the colors of your header images, which serves as a background to the title.
To control that directly, you’ll need to use custom CSS code on the Pro plan.

Ok, kokkieh. You did mention this once before, but if I upgrade to Pro, then I’d have direct control over the font color, right? Thanks for the info. -Ella

Hi there,
Yes with that plan you would have a few options.
- If the color is controlled by a swatch in the customize (as @kokkieh mentinoed) that access is included in Pro
- You can also change the color of fonts directly by using CSS code to override the default colors set by the theme
- You could consider a plugin to add more options for changing fonts including typeface colors: https://wordpress.com/plugins?s=font
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Hi,
But all three that you have mentioned above would be under the Pro plan, right? Even the plugins (which I know nothing about), are under the Pro plan, right? Ok, thanx! -Ella
