changing the font color of one word in text widget?
-
I would like to make the word ENDANGERED in red font within a text widget. Can someone tell me the code or is it too complex? Since it’s within a widget maybe there’s a workaround? I checked this page but could not make heads or tails of it (nor could most other readers based on the number of thumbs down!) http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

<span style="color: red;">ENDANGERED</span>The easiest way is to open a draft post, type in the word, highlight it, apply a color from the font color pulldown on the lower row of icons in the visual editor, switch to the HTML tab and copy out the code.
I always format all my text widget stuff in the visual editor and then switch the the HTML tab and copy it out and paste it into the text widget.

Thank you so much for the info. I was able to add the red font and also a heading font to the widget box to (hopefully) catch the reader’s eye. Actually I have never really worked with “visual editor,” so I was completely unaware that colored fonts were available to me. A very pleasant surprise. Thanks as always for your help.
