Changing the free wordpress.com address

    Hi, I would like to chance my current domain which is lorenalapumicom.wordpress.com to lorenalapumi.wordpress.com. I registered the domain http://www.lorenalapumi.com at godaddy, after forwarding I thought it will be automatically lorenalapumi.wordpress.com without the double .com like here: lorenalapumicom.wordpress.com. I don’t mind the wordpress.com but the double com in the address. If I try to change the primary domain in my settings, it says it already reserved. What can I do?

    Hi there,

    From your question, I think what you are trying to do is to point “lorenalapumi com” to “lorenalapumi.wordpress.com” and not “lorenalapumicom.wordpress.com”

    You have to register “lorenalapumi.wordpress.com” as a new site and forward your godaddy site to it. Forwarding your godaddy site tob”lorenlapumicom.worepress.com” won’t automatically remove “com” from “lorenlapumicom” as these are separate domains.
