  • Hi @landhoeg, on a free site you’ve got limited options. Much more options are available with our Premium plan, plus you’ll get direct support for when you need help.

    A few things to note:

    – Background color will change the color of the whole site. Is that your intention?

    – You *might* be able to find a style you like under Customize > Colors > Palettes

Please send more information about the look you’re after. We’ll try to point you in the right direction for help… cheers!

    Hello Supernovia,

Thank you for your reply! My intention is to change the background to white while changing the header to blue. Is that possible?

If not, I’ll go through the catalogue and see if I can find another theme.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi landhoeg –

You’ll want to use the instructions supernovia shared above. Those will be the available color options for you on a free plan.

    Hi folks!

My intention is to change the background to white while changing the header to blue. Is that possible?

The palette options at Customize –> Colors & Backgrounds on the Radcliffe 2 theme each essentially produce two shades of the same color for the background, with one shade being dominant and lighter than the other shade. The background of the header area is part of dominnant/lighter background portion. There is no palette option on Radcliffe 2 that includes two entirely different colors, such as white and blue.

Therefore, if possible, making the header background color white and the remainder of the background blue would require CSS customization.

Even if you option to “pick your own color” at Customize –> Colors & Backgrounds –> Background –> Palettes, you’ll still get two shades of that chosen color for the background.

    Correction: “opt” not “option”
