Changing the Header Image's Background Color

  I would like to change the color, behind my header’s image. I did try to research on how to do this, but I’m still unsure. Also, do you have to purchase the CSS tool/upgrade, in order to do this? Thanks.

  The div the header image is in doesn’t extend past the image itself. Can you explain a little more what you are looking for?
