Changing the "Link to – Custom URL" link in all published instances of image.

    Hello,

I am not sure if this is a general or custom CSS question. I am publishing a webcomic on my blog but it is non-continuous (I also publish other drawings and such). Therefore, I created “first, previous, next, last” images that I am inserting beneath each comic so that people reading the comic can navigate through the comic easily.

I have used the “Link to: Custom URL” to link these navigation images to the proper comic. My only issue with this method is that I will have to go back and change the custom url that the “last” image links to in all of my comics, every time I post a new comic. Is there any way to change the URL for all published instances of a particular image (in this case the “last” image)?

Thank you, in advance, for your help!

Oh, and I should probably note that the webcomic to which I am referring is under comics-> How Tumble & Kang Kang’s Friendship Destroyed the Universe and Other Amazing Friendship Chronicles.

    Thank you!

Hi, I’m not entirely sure I understand why you would have to change the link on the “last” image. Does that image always link to the last drawing/comic/thing that you have posted?

Yes that’s correct. I would like the “last” image to link to the latest comic posted. Each time I post another comic, the next in the series, I’d like to update the “last” image to link to the new latest comic.

Let me check with some of our developers and see if perhaps there is something that would always bring up the latest post.

    Thank you very much! :)

I thought I would be able to do something with an author query, but I can’t limit it to the latest post, and even then, you would end up having to change URLs and add the query string to the latest post image.

Well thank you for trying. I really appreciate it! I think I’ll just have ‘previous’ and ‘next’ buttons and if people want to go to the first or last they can go to the comics home page which is linked in the menu. Again, thank you very much!
