Changing the log-in e-mail
-
Hello, I am having trouble changing the e-mail address used to log-in to the site.
I have logged in, and changed the e-mail address in the settings. I then got the message asking me to check for the validation e-mail before the login will be changed. The only validation email I received to my inbox simply said “Only reply to this e-mail if you did NOT request to change your login information”. There was no link to click that would confirm the login change. I have tried twice.
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, the e-mail is there, but all it says is this:
“Hi there,

If you made this request, you can safely ignore and delete this email.

P.S. I would do exactly what it states:
If you made this request, you can safely ignore and delete this email. -

Weird! That’s very weird so it’s a good thing this thread is tagged for Staff help. Please be patient while waiting.

Hi there,
The email you mentioned is the one that’s sent to the current email address on your account. Another email is sent to the new email address you are trying to change to — that email includes a confirmation link you can click to confirm and complete the change.
If you have trouble finding that email at the new email address, please check our Gmail Issues page for tips on finding emails from WordPress.com in your inbox.
