Changing the looks of a table, and the size of images in this table

    Hi guys,

I am trying to build a (concept)page where I want to show pricing plans. At this point I am not yet interested in plug-ins that also integrate payment methods, which I know exist. I want a plain and simple representation of options in a table.

I have problems sizing the images to thumbnail size at the top of the table. I tried changing the size in the custom media editor and in HTML, but still my images come out too large. I figured this must be a CSS-thing. I tried to figure out how to override the CSS, but I can’t get it to work. I am probably doing a lot wrong as I am new to CSS. I hope someone can save me some research time by helping me out:

    Basically two questions:

How do I size the pics in the table to thumbnail size in CSS? (I think 100 or 150px b and h, should be okay). In my Safari developerbox, I managed to change the pix size, and I saw the change on the page. But I didn’t manage to copy the changes to my CSS style editor. I did, but it didn’t have any effect, so obviously I’m doing this wrong. Can someone help me with this?

How can I change the look of my table? Currently I have no borderlines. I know HTML offers some options, but I am not to pleased about the looks. I want something nicer. Even a basic style like black lines with a 4 pix width would fit me for now. Can someone help me to fix this in CSS?

    It concerns this page:

Please take into concern that I am not a developer, and I purely need instructions on which steps to take. The context of why, how, what is something I hope to figure out later ;-)

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi

Your site is currently set to private. Is it possible to set it to public so I can take a look at how it’s behaving?

I also wanted to confirm that you have either the Premium or Business level WordPress.com account, as you’ll need one of those in order to edit the CSS.

Finally, if possible, you may wish to download the Chrome browser as those developer tools are usually a little better than the Safari options.

Let me know if it’s possible to see your page.
