Changing the main email

Hello.
On my website, the current email address is “(email visible only to moderators and staff).” However, I want to change it to a different email address and have “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” as a team member.
The options of the different address is either a email that is already in the team member “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” or another one that does not have a wordpress account yet. We have tried to do the switch on our own but it did not quite work.
We are wondering would you be able to guide us the best way to do this email transferring? Sorry if my explanations were unclear.
