CHanging the memory limit on my wordpress site

I need to upgrade the memory limit on my wordpress site. A support person from the plugin I want to use (and was not able to, due to this) sent me the specifications. I only have very basic skills and even when following some help guides I find it very confusing. Here are the specs I need:
WP Memory Limit [value] => 40M

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I’m making an assumption that your site is a self-hosted site instead of hosting on WordPress.com. Let us know if otherwise and share the correct site address.

To increase the memory allocated to PHP for your WordPress site, you need to edit the wp-config.php file.

It’ll be better to first consult with your hosting provider if they allow increasing of PHP limit, else your setting won’t work.

For your information, WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress are different.

In the future, if you need help on your self-hosted site, please post your question at https://wordpress.org/support/.
