Changing the name of a website

  Hi there, Wondered if it is possible to change the name of matchpoint tennis coaching without starting the whole website from the begging and inputting all the information again from scratch. Maybe all the infor from this website could all be moved over and copied and pasted. Look forward, Paul

  Hello Paul,

  If you’re referring to changing the sub-domain URL of your blog, this is possible. For clarity, the guide below presumes that you intend to change your site URL from an existing URL to a new URL, the current URL and new URL texts below should be taken as a hypothetical scenario:

  Current URL: matchpointtenniscoaching.wordpress.com
  New URL: protenniscoach.wordpress.com

  • Login to your account at wordpress.com
  • Click

  Follow the guide below:

  Step 1 – Login to your account at wordpress.com

  Step 2
  Click on My Sites on the top left side of the screen.

  Step 3 – Look at the vertical menus on the left side of the screen, hover your mouse on the Upgrades menu, and click on Domains

  

  Step 4 – Click on the three dots breadcrumb icons just to the right side of the green-colored text labeled Primary address text at the center of the screen, when you click, the menu text labeled Change site address should pop out below the icon (see image below).

  

  Step 5 – Change the site address on the box that comes up and click on the button that says Change site address
