Changing the name of my Site

  Where the heading ‘Site Title’ appears on my Home PageI want to change it to: So, what next ? I can’t seem to do this as when I try, the title appears as my post title, not my Site Title. I’m sure it must be quite simple!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I would like to help you but I don’t see ‘Site Title’ on your home page. Can you perhaps share a screenshot of where you’re seeing this issue? Snag.gy is a great tool for sharing screenshots if you don’t have a more preferred method.

  I do have a feeling you’re talking about changing the following setting:
  Go to My Sites -> Select Customize next to Themes -> Change the site’s title at the top where it says You are customizing

  Let me know if this helps, otherwise share a screenshot and we can go from there. :)

  Whoever you are Xpurichan you are a genius and this 87u-year-old is very grateful. I’ve changed the site title and must next change the post title which is now the same. Will also need to change the font size but presumably I can do this in a similar way. Having been brought up on typewriters and books I still have a lot to learn about navigating my way through web instructions. Thanks so much.

  @sylvienickels I’m so glad this helped. WordPress is a great big site with so much to learn. I recommend the Support Pages for simple questions and WordPress’ own Blogging University to learn the basics.

  Sometimes the Support pages can be hard to follow if you don’t already have some familiarity with the platform though, and for that reason there will always be volunteers like myself to help. :)

  I hope you don’t mind me bothering you again, but I want to try and sign up for the University as you suggested, but when I click on ‘sign in’ for the Fundamentals course, it changes to ‘stop course’ and I don’t know where to go next! Computer technology seems to speak another language!

  I now find I have a string of emails from WordPress telling me that my first assignment will come in a few minutes so I think I emailed you too soon. Sorry. I do wish they would tell what is going to happen!
