Changing the size of a block

    New to WordPress! I am using the Argent theme. I have a Contact block with text that is too narrow. I can’t find a setting that allows me to expand the ‘text box’. How do I expand a box using Block Editor?

    Hi there,

    If I can ask, What kind of site are you trying to set up? A site for your business or a personal blog? Maybe an online artist’s portfolio site?

    It seems like you might be setting up a blog of some kind, but the Argent theme is one that is intended for artist portfolios specifically, and so it’s not always the best choice for other uses. In this case the page margins of the Argent theme are pretty narrow by default, as you can see here: https://argentdemo.wordpress.com/image-alignment-and-styles/

    It is possible to have images “break out” of the margins (a quirk of the Argent theme) but most things are contained within a narrow column, and it’s not possible to expand that.

    In this situation I would normally recommend a different theme instead, as it seems the narrow page margins are not working for you. Do you happen to have any sites (does not have to be WordPress) that you are drawing inspiration from or trying to emulate? Perhaps I can suggest a theme that is a close fit to that vision.
