Changing the size of sidebar widget

    Hello, my blog is natonthecoast.com. And I am trying to reduce the size of the sidebar so that my posts are closer to the centre. If you take a look there is a lot of white space between my categories widget and the end of the page. I have tried some CSS but it is only moving the writing of the widget not actually making the sidebar more small. I basically want that light grey line to be moved over to the right more and my posts to be in the middle of the page.
