Changing the template when using custom menus and categories
-
I’m using a custom menu to feed the specific categories into their own pages on my site. I’d like to be able to change the template on these so that they don’t have the right sidebar.
The page is set up to use the template “full width, no sidebar” and that works but when I then add the category feed into it it reverts back to using the standard template.is it possible to do this or am I looking at this the wrong way?
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are using Coraline On the static pages that you create the “sidebar/bottombar can be deactivated or activated on any static page (Page editor > Attributes module > Template).” Please see here for Widgets on static pages or single posts > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/sidebars-and-other-widget-areas/
However, “In the majority of themes, posts in category or monthly archive pages show up just as they do in the main posts page.” And this is the case with Coraline when it comes to the Categories and Achives pages widgets will display. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/
We cannot edit templates or themes and change functionality so if this is important to you then you will have to select another theme. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/
