Changing the text in the email sent to those who choose to follow my blog

I am trying to change the text in the email that is sent to those who choose to follow my blog via the follow blog widget. I had this working previously by changing the ‘Blog follow email text’ in the Reading Settings – but this appears no longer to work. When i try subscribing i receive the standard Subscription to BLOG! email and not the text entered in the box. I am unclear what i have done to stop this working as it did so previously. As a blogging newbie, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
It sounds like the process you followed is the right one. You might double-check to make sure that your updated text is still showing on the reading settings page–and if you have multiple blogs that you’ve updated the text for the exact blog in question. Making updates for one of your sites won’t impact the other ones.
I’ll also mark this thread for staff assistance as there could also just be a glitch in the system.
