Changing the the dates on posts to a historical date

  I am hoping that I can pre-date some posts. I have a backlog of material, that I want to post so that it can be found by date.

  Is there a way to change the posting date to a past date. So Today I want to post a something and date it December 1st, 2011. Is that possible?

  Certainly :) You’ll want to use the Schedule a Post feature to do that. Just enter the date you want the post to appear to have been published as per this guide:
