Changing the theme of a blog changes archived posts?
-
Hi all,
I set up a blog for folks to follow a recent vacation, but the blog name I chose is general enough I could use it in future for other things, now that the trip is done.
If I change the theme/name of the blog will this also change the archived posts or will they retain their original format and name?Thanks!
mleThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Different themes treat the display of Archives and categories pages in different ways. See this post for clarity > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/ -

Hmmmm…..
How about if I change the theme of my blog from A to B
and change the title from ‘My trip to Bangkok’ to ‘Musings on Mice’…..Will the posts I made in the past, under theme A with the Bangkok title, now display with theme B and the Mice title when they are viewed?
Thanks for your help!

@sadiakomal
You are wrong and the blog linked to your username is not a wordpress.COM blog. Please read this entry > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ -
@msmle
I prrvided a link to a post above that explains the situation and even provides a list of themes and the manner in which they treat and display Archives and Categories.No matter which theme you switch to or what you change titles to (changing titles on published posts is a very bad move from the SEO point of view) the display that was provided by the previous theme will be overridden by the coding in the current theme you have up on your blog.
