Changing the URL displayed in the address bar?

  I’ve mapped my domain, jonwacker.com to wordpress.com, so how come it displays in the address bar as https://wackerfiles.wordpress.com/? And can I change that to jonwacker.com?

  The domain was forwarded, but not mapped. Here’s how to set up mapping properly: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
