How do I change the way the 'comments' link looks?
-
On the Home page of my blog the “comments” link is way too quiet at the bottom of each post. I really prefer how it shows up if you click on the post title, then it shows all the share icons and has the comment box up and ready to go. My question is: Is there a way to have it look like that on the Home page? At least for the most recent post?
My theme is Twenty Ten and my blog is http://www.GoodLifeRoad.com
Your help is greatly appreciated!

You can make the sharing buttons show on the front page by selecting “Posts, pages, and index pages” from Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard.
The appearance of the comment link is really theme-specific, and some (like Twenty Eleven) display it more prominently than others.
If you’re handy with CSS, you can always apply your own style to it with a Custom CSS upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/

Thanks re the share buttons they look good now!
…But for making the comment link more prominent…..
Since I’m not handy with CSS do you recommend switching themes entirely for something as small as this or would it be better to do the CSS upgrade and hire someone to do it.
The thing that worries me about that is I read that you would be better going the route of creating a “child theme” instead. But that probably requires some know how too!

Don’t worry about Child themes, that’s not necessary (and it’s impossible) here.
I’m actually thinking the other way around here. Buying a CSS upgrade and hiring someone to do it would be a bit much for something as small as a comment link.
Have you seen all of our available themes? http://theme.wordpress.com/
Twenty Eleven is currently my favorite: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentyeleven/
