Changing the Web Address of my blog
-
Hi! So I want to ask a simple question but the situation is what complicates this option. So I know how to change the web address of my blog. I used to create a blog not long ago for the purpose of making an entirely new blog. But I decided to keep my old blog and make a new blog there rather than the new blog that I created. The problem is that I want to put the web address ‘alwaysonthedot.wordpress.com’ on my old blog but I can’t since it’s taken. Since I am the author, would I be able to have it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

alwaysonthedot.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
If you are the site owner (under this same username account) and it has been less than 30 days since you deleted the site, please let us know in this forum thread.

Bu! So I am the site owner of Always on the Dot so could you please be able to make it available before someone else gets it before me? Thank you!

Hi badaryan10,
alwaysonthedot.wordpress.com was only deleted a short time ago so I’ve been able to reverse the deletion and restore the site to your account — it should now be listed in My Sites.
I hope this helps.

Hi again! So I did find alwaysonthedot.wordpress.com back on “my sites” but I tried a different way to get from unbookly.wordpress.com to alwaysonthedot.wordpress.com without deleting unbookly. However, when I changed alwaysonthedot to alwayonthedot so that unbookly would now be alwaysonthedot, it didn’t worked out as I thought. Now it said that alwaysonthedot.wordpress.com is now not available. Could you please help me be able to have unbookly to transition to alwaysonthedot.wordpress.com without this problem? Thank you!

Hello again, it sounds like you are changing the site address according to this support guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/ If so, this deletes the previous site address.
When you own both websites, you should export the content of Site A and import it to Site B by following this guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/#changing-your-site-address-to-one-you-already-own
I’m not sure Staff can recover alwaysonthedot for you again, but I’ve tagged this thread for their attention.

Hi Folks –
badaryan10 – I have fixed the site deletion. Please do not delete the site again. You’ll need to follow the instructions shared by justjennifer about doing the site export.

So I tried exporting the information from unbookly to alwaysonthedot but all I wanted is to change unbookly to alwaysonthedot without taking away the followers I have on unbookly. I don’t know if that helps clarify the problem. Let me know if you need more clarification.

all I wanted is to change unbookly to alwaysonthedot
You can’t. There is no way to reverse a site address change.
Please export your content from the new address and import it back to the old address.
After you have finished doing that, let us know and we can move your followers back for you.
