Changing the website associated with a profile
-
Hello everybody,
I must be missing something, but I’ve been looking for so long and can’t find it myself: I don’t have a WordPress blog myself, but when I comment in (other people’s) WordPress blogs, my profile name is linked to a website which I associated with my blog a while ago (probably two years ago or so). Since I have a different personal website now, I need to change this association. However, I can’t find any way to do this when editing my WordPress or Gravatar profile. The “links” section isn’t what I’m looking for and does not change the personal website.
This is so basic, that I’m sure I’m missing something very obvious. But I really did look a long time for it – with no success. Maybe someone could help me?
Thanks ahead,
Yoav Sapir

Do you see the grey Admin bar at the top of the page? Go into My Account and under Edit My Profile, change “Website”.

When Logged in – the gray bar at the top – left side
My Account >> Edit My Profile >> Personal Settings >> down at the bottom >> Account Details >> Web Site

@ Raincoaster: There is no “website” field in the profile editing page. In fact, the word “website” only appears in the links adding section, which is of no help.
@ Auxclass: This procedure forces me to open a blog. I suppose I must do that in order to change my website?
Thanks

You should be able to just change the website associated with your name –
I don’t think you need a blog – you associated a site with your name when you opened your account – the website association is hidden – when I changed mine a while back I had to look and look and look –
