Changing Theme

    Hi,

    I would like to change my blog to be more photography oriented with less text. The Full Frame theme looks appealing to me. My question is, what will happen to all the current blog entries that I’ve published? Is it possible to leave them intact and available on their current theme and just have new posts use the new Full Frame theme?

    You can quickly and easily change themes to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do some work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme and have done any CSS editing.

    Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and browse themes until you find one you like and click “activate” or type in the name of the theme you want to use and
    click the “activate” link when it appears.

    After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.

    Full Frame is a premium theme and we Volunteers don’t have access to them and cannot work with them in test blogs. When you purchase premium theme you get support for theme issue directly from the theme designer in the Premium Themes Forum.

    I too have wanted to change my theme to enlarge my photos. You mentioned above “no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change”. I’m using Ocean Mist (640×480) and was looking to change to Nishita (1024×768) but when I do a test of what the Nishita theme would look like, I find my previous posts’ photos are now stretched and somewhat distorted. As goathunter asked, is there anything that can be done to keep that from happening on previous posts? Other than deleting and reentering the photo to the new size? Thanks!
