    Hi there,

    Short answer is yes :)

    There are two ways:
    One is to use “Try & Customize” to see how your content looks like under a new theme. More info about that is here: https://wordpress.com/support/themes/#preview-themes. The theme will not be activated until you press “Activate & Publish.”

    The other option is to create a new free website, thenexport all content there and check whole website. This way you will see all website, not only Customizer options as in first option.

    Hope that helps. Please feel free to ask if any.

    @aprillouise23,

    See the My Content and Switching Themes section of the Themes support page. As indicated there, when you switch from one theme to another “nearly everything comes with you.” Pages, posts, and other content types remain intact, and media is unaffected by a switch. Features that can be affected by a switch include the following:

    1. Custom menus — They might be relocated by a theme switch, and consequently you might wish to reassign them to the desired locations.
    2. Widgets — Like custom menus, these might need to reassigned to the desired locations.
    3. Custom CSS — According to the support page (if I’m interpreting correctly), because CSS is theme specific, after a switch it’s likely that it will be missing from where you placed it. However previously used CSS code can be found in the CSS revisions link located at My Site(s) → Appearance→ Customize → Additional CSS.

    So none of the above are lost, but they might need to be reassigned to their proper locations, or (in the case of CSS) copied and pasted into the spots where they were previously inserted.

    Also, if you were using a retired Premium theme before the switch, then you won’t be able to switch back to that Premium theme on that site again.

    What I’ve outlined above applies regardless of the privacy option selected. So whether you choose Coming Soon, Public, or Private as the privacy option, you’ll get the same results when switching from one theme to another.
