Changing Theme Colors

    Okay, so I am trying to fix the formatting on my new blog before I post anything and am having some trouble with CSS (as I have no experience with it). If someone could help me, that would be AMAZING (and thank you in advance!!!)

    I am trying to change several colors within my site, but I’m not sure how to do it.

    1) The space around the footer on the bottom is still black in places. I want it to match the rest of the background (the color I want is #f7fbf8).

    2) When I changed the background of the footer, the background of the search box widget is still black. I’d love the space they type in to be #92d6bc.

    3) There is still that ugly orange color through the site. I would love to use the pink of the hearts in my logo instead (#ff7896). These are the places I need changed:

    a) The color of Recent Posts on the right.
    b) Social Media Icons both on the side and on the bottom.
    c) The hover color on the navigation menu.

    4) For reference, here is the current CSS I’m using. I have no idea if it’s in the right order – I did a copy and paste from other questions and answers.

    .site-info a {
    color: #92d6bc !important;
    }

    .site-footer .site-info {
    background-color:#f7fbf8;
    }

    .site-footer .widget-title {
    color: #666;
    }

    footer#colophon {
    background-color: #f7fbf8
    !important;
    }

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • @avajuneandmommytoo I’m not seeing black boxes or footers on that site at all. Are you referring to another site?
