Changing theme, demo content for home page, query re.space for existing menu
-
After 8½years of a Free Plan I’ve moved to a Premium Plan. I intend to change the theme from Misty Lake to Cultivate, with a new homepage with demo content. I’m working on what to put to replace demo content to fit in with my existing site, for example replacing the first 3 boxes with links to 3 pages, changing those pages from time to time. I’m also looking for other appropriate content, and photographs of my village. I compiled the site using free text rather than html, to be useful for fellow residents and visitors to my village.
I am probably overthinking potential problems. The question is, in Cultivate does the top navigation box expand to take in a longer menu with sub-menus? Thanks in advance. I find your guides helpful.

Hello there! That’s great!
The question is, in Cultivate does the top navigation box expand to take in a longer menu with sub-menus?
The Cultivate theme does have the option for sub-menu items. It uses the Site Editor, which gives full control over the layouts, including the headers, footers, page templates, and more.
https://wordpress.com/support/site-editing/When editing the header template, you can add submenu items to the Navigation Block:
