  Hi there!

  There are three ways you could go about this.

  You could consider putting your site’s privacy to “Private” (here’s how). This will show a private or coming soon message to your visitors while you work on changing the theme.

  You could also use a ‘coming soon‘ or ‘maintenance mode‘ plugin to show a notice to your visitors while you’re working on changing your theme. Plugins have the option to customize the message that is displayed to your visitors while it’s in a ‘maintenance mode.’
