Changing themes
-
I want to change themes – I will need to do a lot of new formatting and re-editing for the new theme: can I temporarily shut down my page or will everybody “get” my fumbling around? What happens to my subscribers?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks.
Changing themes is no big deal, unless you change to a theme with a narrower column. Then you’re going to have to fix up pictures and video on your old posts so they still fit. Otherwise it’s fine.
You can just use the Preview features to see what your blog looks like, so you don’t really change the theme multiple times. But most people don’t really mind. It’s good to have a consistent look, but it’s more important to get the RIGHT look for your blog.

As you aybe saw, I use Shelf-theme now, because the cool featuring of the audio-files. When I “try on” other themes, these don’t display as audio files at all, so I think I will have to change the setting on each song. Is there a way of finding out what different themes do to audio files?

Just using the Preview. It shows what your blog looks like in each theme. Most themes just do very boring arrow counters for audio. This one does fun stuff tho; http://icecoaster.wordpress.com/
