Changing themes…

If I choose to change my theme, will it save my previous theme? I have used Ocean Mist for a long time and like it very well. However, I was thinking about changing but Ocean Mist is no longer on the list of themes. If I don’t like the new one, can I get Ocean Mist back?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In a word “yes” you can change themes as many times as you want and return to using any theme if you wish. The themes you currently us does not appear in the selection here > Appearance > Themes because it’s already on the blog.

When we change themes all widgets in use migrate into the Inactive Widgets box. When you do change the new theme will display a default sidebar but those are not actual widgets. Go here . Appearance > Widgets and simply move the widgets out of the Inactive Widgets box into the sidebar positions or footer positions you want them to display in.

Thanks timethief! I wanted to see if I could “freshen” it up a bit, but was afraid of not getting Ocean Mist back! Thanks for setting that straight. Here goes nothing!

You’re welcome. Switching themes is easy to do. Provided you have no used great big honking huge images, as is the current trend, then you will not have to resize your images to fit into the blogging spaces on posts and pages in the new theme or in the sidebars.
Maximum displayed image width by theme
    Sidebar width by theme
    Happy blogging! :)
