Changing themes

  Every time I try to activate shoreditch it merges with the default theme. I’ve experienced this issue with several themes. What can I do?

  Hi there,

  Can you expand on what you mean by “merges”?

  And what site do you need help with? https://bryantagent.wordpress.com/ is currently using the Stradford theme, not Shoreditch.

  Activating a new theme just enables the design on the site. With an older theme like Shoreditch it won’t automatically change the front page layout as well to match the theme demo. That’s a new feature that’s only available in our new, block editor themes.

  So after activating Shoreditch on the site, you still need to manually set it up to make it look like the theme demo, by following the instructions on the theme’s support page at https://wordpress.com/theme/shoreditch
