Changing themes loses content

  I am new to WP. I installed the Stow theme, added pages and some content. I also changed the main image on the home page. I changed the theme to Appleton and the image had added is gone. Why?

  Many thanks for reaching out.

  To check, have you added pages and content via Appearance > Site Editor?

  If yes, when changing a theme, this may affect that.

  Are you looking to use the Appleton theme going forward?
