changing titles of sections AND text cuts / links

    I’m sure this is super basic and I am really sorry I probably didn’t look closely enough in the other questions here, but any idea how to switch the heading name “FRONT PAGE” (next to “ABOUT”) to something else?

    Also, any idea if there is a way to do what is similar to the “livejournal cut” that LiveJournal has? If not, that’s cool, but having the option to allow readers to click a “read more…” link would probably make my blog look cleaner. I’m a little new to WordPress, so apologies for the probably BASIC questions and thanks in advance for any help or answers!
